The welfare of volunteers may also be impacted by pressures separate to their role with the British Red Cross such as work, finances, personal challenges or access to benefits.

Stonewall provides information and support for LGBT communities and their allies. Call on 0800 050 2020, Monday to Friday 9:30 – 4:30.

Mermaids provides a helpline aimed at supporting transgender youth up to and including the age of 19, their families and professionals working with them. Call on 0808 801 0400, Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm.
