Using the Volunteer Welfare shared inbox
- If you receive an email relating to Deployment, please forward that email to VolunteerSupport@redcross.org.uk. Similarly, that inbox may forward emails related to Welfare.
- When you access the volunteer welfare inbox, please select an email to respond to and move it into your named subfolder. You can now pull together a response. Do not start to work on a response until your move the email into your named subfolder, to avoid duplication of work. When the response has been sent, move the email from your named subfolder to the folder with that day’s date. Then you can select your next email.
- If an email needs to be escalated to a supervisor, please categorise red for that supervisor. Supervisors will check for red marks.
- Always ensure that any email response comes from the Volunteer Welfare inbox, and not your default Red Cross email.
- Do not forward any emails from the Volunteer Welfare inbox to your personal email.
- After an email enquiry has been responded to, move the email into the folder for the date when it was received, not when it was responded to.
- Do not delete any emails.
